10 million users downloaded the Aarogya Setu app

-

The Aarogya Setu app has crossed the number of 10 registered crore users in just 41 days since its launch. This app launched on April 2. The government-launched application was created to monitor people infected with the corona virus and alert healthy people, although the application has been questioned for security reasons. Significantly, this application made headlines among people when it was said that with the help of this application, the spread of the dangerous coronavirus epidemic will be prevented. This application was made mandatory in many places. This application was created in collaboration with NITI Aayog and a team. NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant announced Wednesday in a tweet that the Aarogya Setu app has crossed the 10 million mark for registered users. Their banner in the app has also crossed over 10 million crore, announcing that 10.02 million Indians are using the Arogya Setu app. Let me tell you, in the three days of launch last month, 50 lakh people had installed this app on their smartphone and this figure had crossed 9.8 million rupees in the past week. In addition to the success of registered users, the Arogya Setu application has also reached the top three applications in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in India. Not only for smartphones, but the Arogya Setu app team has made this app extension available for Jio phones and landline consumers as well. Recently, a free service was launched under Aarogya Setu’s Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), in which a toll-free number ‘1921’ was issued for feature phones and landline citizens. After making a missed call on this number, you will receive a callback, your health related entries will be taken on this call. Mandatory use: the key to your success? Crossing the Rs 10 million mark a month and a half after its launch is arguably a huge success for the Arogya Setu app, along with this app it has become one of the fastest emerging apps in the world. However, the success of the Arogya Setu app was not as difficult as it is for other working apps. The reason is to promote it in his speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from this, the government has made it mandatory for all government and private employees to install this application on their smartphones. In accordance with recently published guidelines issued by the Home Office, it will be the responsibility of the head of the organization to ensure that the application is installed on the smartphone of all employees. Similarly, the Arogya Setu app has also been made mandatory for passengers traveling on trains during the blockade, whoever is traveling must have this app on their phones. Along with this, food delivery workers and people who deliver other products will also have to download it to their phones. Due to all these imperatives, the Arogya Setu app has become such a successful app in such a short time. However, since launch, some groups have called this application a threat to user privacy and criticized it. Not only this, a French security researcher Robert Baptiste claimed that the Aarogya Setu app contained a “security gap”, a problem that has put the privacy of millions of Indians at stake. However, the Union IT minister later denied all of these claims, declaring Arogya Setu to be “the strongest application” in terms of privacy protection and data security.
