Aarogya Setu application mandatory for air travel, entry into the airport only if the status ‘green’

-

The Aarogya Setu app has now also become mandatory for air travel. Yes, during the forced blockade to prevent the Kovid-19 epidemic from spreading, the train journey started earlier and now domestic flights have also started. However, before embarking on air travel, the Indian Airport Authority (AAI) has issued the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). According to which, passengers traveling by plane must install the ‘Arogya Setu Application’ on their smartphone. Let us tell you that domestic flights will start again from May 25, which was announced by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. In addition to the application, thermal inspection of masks, gloves and passengers will also be mandatory before taking an air trip. According to AAI documents, all passengers will be required to register on their smartphone in the ‘Aarogya Setu’ application, which is being deployed by CISF / Airport staff at the front door. The AAI note also states that this imperative will not apply to children under the age of 14 who wish to travel by plane. Apart from this, passengers whose Arogya Setu application does not see ‘Green’ will not be able to enter the airport. Significantly, it became mandatory for passengers traveling by train to install and register the Arogya Setu app. Passengers were told to arrive at the airport two hours before their flight departure time. Only those people whose flight is within the next 4 hours will be allowed to enter. The passenger thermal screen will be done before entry. Social distancing will be strictly followed in places such as screen areas, entrance gates and airport terminals, etc. However, information on whether passengers who do not have smartphones or live phones can travel by plane is not cleaned. Please let us know that the Arogya Setu app is available for live phone models based on Android, iOS and KaiOS. However, this is not a consumer version of feature phones.
