You can order food from Facebook, new feature launched

-

To order food on Facebook, a new feature called ‘Order Food’ is launched. The purpose of the social networking website Facebook is that users should use more and more applications and should not use different applications for other purposes. Facebook has given a new option ‘Order food’ on web and mobile platforms to order food online. This ‘Order Food’ feature is currently available to select users and is made available to US users. This new Facebook feature is made possible by the company’s partnership with Delivery.com in the United States. This association was announced in October of last year. According to a TechCrunch report, this option is visible in the Facebook sidebar or in the main menu of the application. By clicking on it, Order Food will display the list of all restaurants that support the option. These restaurants will be featured with photos, ratings, cuisine, and price. The feature has an order start button at the bottom, clicking on it will redirect you to the selected restaurant page. You will then be given restaurant information on whether the restaurant is open for delivery or collection. Then you can enter the delivery address or change to pick up. After that, going to the menu, you can choose the option you want to order. Then you can confirm the order after choosing the delivery fee, the final payment, check your cart, payment method.
The food ordering function is very easy and once you start using it you can understand yourself. Once the order is confirmed, the average delivery time is given. However, we were unable to test this feature at this time because the new ‘Order Food’ feature is available only to selected users in the US. USA Facebook has no plans to launch this feature in other countries. Food Ordering Service like SliceDotcom and Slice will definitely benefit from this new feature due to Facebook’s large database. Facebook confirmed this new feature with TechCrunch.
From the user’s point of view, now you don’t need to open any other application to order food. And this additional work can also be done from Facebook. Taxi-supplying Uber entered the market to order food online with Bhip UberEats. And this month it launched its service in India. However, Facebook just made this feature available in their app, and hasn’t launched a separate app like Uber.
